Asset Advantage, a UK-based provider of business finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has launched a new broker survey to explore challenges and opportunities in sourcing funding for business clients.
The survey aims to identify key themes in the commercial finance market, focusing on the current and future landscape of SME funding needs.

Asset Advantage sales director Gary Thompson said: “Our key focus this year is investing in growth as we ensure our proposition delivers exactly what commercial brokers need to meet the ever-changing demands of the market.
“With our investment in people and processes, we are making sure that we can support brokers with a wide range of deals, whether it is business loans, asset finance or business acquisitions, which continues to be a real growth area.
“Our new survey is a critical part of our growth strategy as it enables us to identify the lay of the land and clearly understand the demands and needs of brokers and the SMEs they are supporting. Last year’s survey generated some fantastic insights, and I am sure this year will be no exception.”
In April, Asset Advantage appointed Jonty Cooke as the new broker manager to enhance broker relationships and support business growth.
Cooke brings more than a decade of experience in asset finance, having worked with both hard and soft assets.
He was previously the divisional manager at Bluestone Leasing, leading a team of seven business finance consultants. He has also held senior roles at Corporate Asset Solutions, including head of broker channel and head of partnerships.
In his new position, Cooke will be responsible for enhancing broker engagement and supporting Asset Advantage’s partners, contributing to the company's growth strategy.
