Chase increases Sapphire Reserve fee to $795 and unveils new premium business card

Chase has announced that on June 23, 2025, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, its premium travel credit card, is getting a near overhaul of its features and benefits, including an annual fee increase to $795.

That annual fee is currently higher than just about every other premium credit card, including The Platinum Card® from American Express (which is also getting its own card refresh). It’s also much higher than the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

In addition, Chase will be launching its first Sapphire-related business card (also on June 23, 2025), the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business.

  • Annual fee: Raised to $795 (from $550)

  • Authorized user fee: $195 (from $75)

  • Rewards rate:

    • Earn 8x points on Chase Travel purchases (replacing the 10x points on hotels and car rentals through Chase Travel and 5x points on flights through Chase Travel)

    • Earn 4x points when you book directly with an airline or hotel (replacing the 3x points on travel purchases category)

  • $300 dining credit: Receive up to $300 annual credit (up to $150 from January through June and up to $150 from July through December) when dining with Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables.

  • $500 The Edit credit: Receive up to $500 annual credit for prepaid bookings made with The Edit, a hand-picked collection of hotels and resorts

  • $300 StubHub credit: Get up to $300 in annual statement credits (up to $150 from January through June and another $150 from July through December) on concert and event tickets purchased on StubHub and viagogo. Activation is required for this credit.

  • Peloton benefits: Earn 10x points on eligible Peloton purchases (up to 50,000 total points) and get up to $120 in annual statement credits (up to $10 per month) toward eligible Peloton memberships.

  • Complimentary Apple TV+ and Apple Music: Through June 22, 2027, you can receive complimentary subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music.

  • Points Boost: Receive up to 2x redemption value on select hotels and flights booked through Chase Travel

  • Reserve Travel Designers: Build and book custom trip itineraries with a Reserve Travel Designer.

  • IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status: Receive complimentary IHG Platinum Elite status until December 21, 2027.

  • Spend $75,000 in a calendar year to unlock additional benefits for the remainder of the year and through the following calendar year:

    • IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite status

    • $500 Southwest Airlines credit

    • A-List status with Southwest Airlines

    • Up to $250 in statement credits on purchases made through The Shops at Chase

  • $120 in annual Lyft in-app credits (up to $10 monthly) plus 5x total points on eligible Lyft rides

  • Spend $120,000 in a calendar year to receive these benefits:

    • IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status

    • Southwest Airlines A-List Status and a $500 Southwest Airlines credit when booked through Chase Travel

    • $500 credit to The Shops at Chase
