Nasdaq Flat as Market Shrugs Off 'Yawner' Fed Minutes
Stocks barely reacted to the latest minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee.
The Dow was down 112 points, or 0.3%. The S&P 500 was down 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite, which was hovering around breakeven, was up 0.1%.
The central bank opted to keep interest rates steady at its May meeting. In the minutes that were released at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, officials said economic growth and the labor market were still solid and current monetary policy was moderately restrictive.
