Dollar Stays Steady Before Inflation Data
The dollar was in a wait and see mode as investors awaited the latest read on inflation.
The U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the value of the dollar against a basket of foreign currencies, danced around the breakeven line Wednesday morning. It closed at 99.10 on Tuesday.
The dollar has suffered this year, having fallen nearly 9% since Jan. 1.
