Euro Gets Back to Pre-War Levels
The value of the euro against the dollar is now officially back to pre-war levels.
The euro-dollar exchange rate was at 1.159 this morning. The market was around this level on June 12, when Israel attacked Iran.
The euro has been climbing steadily against the dollar since the start of this year--although after the attack investors injected cash into the world’s reserve currency, the dollar, a classic risk-off move.
