S&P 500 Price Targets Are Rising. Wall Street Tunes Out Noise From Washington.
There’s a lot of noise coming from Washington, D.C., but just like Fed Chair Jerome Powell, Wall Street is largely tuning it out.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 57 points, or 0.1%. The S&P 500 was up 0.2%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.3%.
Despite debate over Trump’s tax bill and tariffs, as well as the president’s continued complaints about interest rates aimed at Powell, the S&P 500 is less than 3% off its Feb. 19 record close of 6144.15.
