S&P 500 Turns Higher. Breadth Is Improving.
The S&P 500 perked back up, and breadth is improving.
With the market benchmark up 0.3% in Thursday morning trading, 290 stocks in the index were set to close higher. The index has been improving throughout the morning. Its top stocks include Oracle, up 14%, and Arista Networks, up 3.1%.
The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%. The Dow was up 28 points, or 0.1%. Its biggest laggard was Boeing, which subtracted 64 points off the index following the crash of a Boeing 787 carrying 242 passengers and crew in India.
